For all who attended the picnic, thank you so much for coming. We had a great turnout... somewhere between 30 and 40 people. It's so good to know that Dad was such an important part of so many people's lives. I think he would have been very happy today.

Robert and Leigh Anne, I am so sorry to hear about your father and I am ashamed to admit that I had not known that your mother has passed also. Too much out of touch. Your father was a big influence on my life and my music choices. I still love Benny Goodman and occaisionally play bass for a jazz ensemble. I was not a real good musician in my high school days but LJ was patient and kept at me. I called your Dad a few years ago just to say hi. I was surprised that he remembered me after all those years and the huge number of students he has taught. I think I took the picture "fuzzy face" for the yearbook in the fall of 1979. If not me it was Charlo. I hope your pain eases and may your Dad rest in peace. Thanks Larry for all you did. Bob Holland, currently Athens Greece. NOrmally, Wichita Kansas.
